Hi Ray,

Just wanted to let you know that Rick Ships delivered the armoire last evening. They were great, as always--showed up right on schedule and were very nice/ easy to work with. They only encountered one minor problem with re-assembly--one of the pegs at the top of the side panel had somehow gotten pushed downward, and had splintered the wood in a small spot in the interior top corner. But they were able to hammer the peg upward, and they glued and clamped the small splintered spot. So everything is fine.

The armoire is lovely. It fit my space perfectly, thanks to your having been so patient/ detailed with all the measurements. The inside of the armoire was so pristine that I have already transferred all my bed linens. I was expecting to have to upholster the interior, but can see that it is unnecessary. I am amazed at how much the armoire holds--just what I needed! 

Now I need to give it a cleanup to remove the fingerprints due to handling. I have the Howard's Restore A Finish (dark walnut) that you recommended. I remember you also mentioned a citrus oil product. Can you kindly advise which one (or maybe both?) to use?

The table is ornate with beautiful carvings, yet very sturdy. My son in law was impressed with the detailed carvings on the chairs as well as the condition of the needle point cushions! Another great delivery by RickShips! Another antique dealer with integrity added to my "great" list! Ray...the chairs are everything you promised...really just beautiful and solid like you said. Caroline and April...another great experience with Michael and a new gentleman who was not here before... is it James? Ya know it's not that I've not had good experiences with delivery people from here in my native Northeast...One to one, people everywhere in the US are more alike than we often realize... but there's just somethin' about people from down south. It's like steppin' back in time to the 50's. Politeness at every turn...even with the grueling traffic when you get near New York City...that these guys go through before they get here.

I have never ordered a piece of furniture sight unseen prior to the lovely French Hutch from the French and Antiques website. When I saw the pictures online I knew I was about to make a first step and order. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the piece and with the ease of purchase. Paypal accomplished the payment.
